I know there will be bias, but I submitted this thread on the USC board, and of course there was a bias there too.

basically SC is a wannabe ND, besides location. Education is inferior. More parties and a frat life at USC though. I would go to ND

Like Andrew, I was admitted to USC, too. I got into ND first, and didn't really care what USC had to say. Even with half money at USC, I'd still choose paying the full ticket at ND.

i'm waitlisted for ND, so i think SC would be a great school for you...haha! just kidding. anyway, i live pretty near SC, and it is actually a blast. even tho i am an ND sports fan, i can't agree that SC is a wannabe ND anymore. they have upped their academics and i know lots of students who got rejected last yr. and this yr. it is also fun being in the city, and their academics are fantastic. good luck, i hope you open up a spot for me at ND!!

they are actually not all too similar (other than a petty rivarly i cant see how one could be a wannabe of the other), i'm surprised this is a serious topic (dont here alot about people deciding between the two schools). I have a few friends that go to ND and they enjoy it.

if you know less what you want to do, want a more broad arts and letters education, identify with the religious affiliation or are near the area, ND is a good choice. Look into the programs though, because thats where i consistently see USC excelling.
