Nearest Wells Fargo/Pharmacy?

Hi, I was wondering where is the closest pharmacy? I'm in Isla Vista, and it seems the closest pharmacy is in Goleta. There is a Pharmerica, but I don't know anything about it. (Or should i be looking at Student Health Center)

Also, I think there is a Wells Fargo at North Fairview Avenue. It seems I would have to take the 24x and then transfer onto the 9. The problem seems to be that the 24x doesn't come too frequently. Or should I just take the 27? Do you guys have any recommended route?

Thanks.

Student Health does have a pharmacy, though I’ve never used it. I would expect the prices/co-pay or whatever to be reasonable, considering that the student health insurance fee charged to your BARC account is $327 per quarter…

(not much/any information there, though)

As for Wells Fargo, there’s a WF ATM on Pardall next to what is now Chino’s Rock and Tacos, but I’m guessing you know about that and need to go to a full office. I think the people at the mini-office on Pardall can only do a few things.

When I didn’t have a car, I actually rode my bike to the shopping center next to the Fairview Shopping Center… that being said, perhaps you could catch the 11 (with your bike) and get off at Fairview right before it turns onto Hollister, and ride your bike across the freeway overpass. It’s just a thought - the plan with taking the 9 seems fine.

Closest pharmacies are Costco and K-Mart in the Camino Real shopping center. Just hop on on the Isla Vista Shuttle to access those.

Accessing Fairview is unfortunately a big pain in the ass with the bus system. I usually just took the 11 and walked across the overpass. The other option I guess is to transfer to the 9, but that only loops in one direction, and on the way there, it seems like it would take longer for the 9 to loop around then to walk. Note the 24X is not an option because it does not stop between campus and downtown.
