Necessary for Both Parents to do school visit?

As we are a dual income household, it is a bit difficult for both Husband & I to attend all school visits & interviews.

How important is the "parent" interview?

Husband feels is is EXTREMELY imperative we both be there to show school officials our "family" deisre that he go to BS and our committment. I tend to be an the opposite end, I think both of us being there is only as important as it is to my son as moral support.

Am I dismissing an important aspect of the admission process?

A recent thread covered this. Here it is: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/prep-school-admissions/606953-one-vs-both-parents-attending-interviews.html

There was just a thread about this. I think pretty much everyone agreed that it isn’t a big deal if only one parent is there.

Thanks for the link – I should have read thru the forum with more care.

In our experience it helped my athletic son that my husband went to the interviews. Actually I did not go to three of the schools to which my son was accepted but planned to attend revisit day if he didn’t get into his first choice. As it turned out my husband handled most of the interviews and I think the coaches were very comfortable with the good father-son dynamic.
