Is it absolutely necessary to take one semester of calc + semester of stats to get into UCI for Major in BIOSCI. I can handle two semesters of stats but am very weak in calculus and will likely hurt my gpa
IMHO If you are looking to pursue a BS degree in any field, Calculus is important.

UCI’s School of Biological Sciences requires calculus (and physics that has a calculus prerequisite) as a graduation requirement. So, even if they admit you without it, you will have to take it some time.
