Need 2150 By march sat! Help me...

I like picking the exact middle (and round up if neccesary).

Two weeks left, I plan to cram over the break (mostly math). Do you think it will make a difference (i.e 700+ math )

Well, Took a practice test today, got 710 cr, 800 writing, and 630 math. I am in trouble...

What's your problem, careless mistakes or you don't know the concepts? Usually many people would get a 700 because they might not know 5-6 questions on the test, but go down to a 650-690 because of careless mistakes. This happened with me on the January SAT, I had a 670, but there were a lot that I didn't know how to do. They main thing is that you don't know that you're doing the careless mistake, but with hard questions, you know you'll get it wrong. The key is to reread the question after you finish and make absolutely sure it's right.

Its careless mistakes, like i find the wrong thing or I dont do pemdas. But i cant seem to fix it.

Like I said, re-read the question after you solve it and you won't get a question wrong if you know what you're solving. Also, if you really want to change, write every step. Yes it's boring and takes a while, but you can mess up on calculations. You might think this is funny, but people can get 9.5 from 1.5+7. If you actually write it out, you'll be hyperaware of everything you do.

meh. I convinced myself that 2 root2 - 2 = root 2... even after reading several times... account for the possibility that you may have a brain frat.

Ok, so i took another test today, got a 680. I followed Rahouls advice, and it seemed to work. But its just one test...

hmm...rahouls advice does really work, I got a 740 on a different test.

Under timed conditions though? The pressure of taking the SAT will make you think in unusual ways, and is often why people's scores go lower. You'll look at the clock, work faster, and might mess up. RocketReview says that you should plan on finishing all the questions when time runs out, as in if you finish early, then you're doing a bad thing. People here will finish in 15 and check in 10. Really though checking your work is hard to do because you'll look at the problem in the same way as before and you'll be saying in your mind that you think it's right and you should move on. You'll be making the careless mistake and won't realize it. Do what's best for you, but it's usually better to spend a little more time on each question to get it right than check over your work later.

yes, I Take all the tests under tmed conditioned, with the absense of the exermental

I just got a 760 on a practice test, and I learned something important that while you may think of, never realize how useful it is. I experimented a little. I tried reading quickly and I felt my mind going crazy like I did on the real SAT. I read the question very slowly then, and my mind was like, "are you crazy?!? Hurry up, time's a wasting!". I disregarded that voice and the questions seemed so much easier. Now on actual test day, it's hard to do this, and unfortunately you can't practice that because you would have to take the actual SAT multiple times. Even on the easy and first questions, just going very very slowly and thinking in a calm manner got me my good score. Sure I might have worked fast, but reading the question slowly was what got me this high score. If I can simulate that on the real test, then I'm good to go. Now sure some questions will seem extremely difficult, but rushing is never the key. Even when I found myself only with 5 minutes left and 3 questions left(the last 3, which are the HARD level questions), I got them right because I was able to comprehend the questions quicker than I normally would had I thought quickly.

Well, some of the hard questions aren't really that hard, they are just about finding a quick way. Like one of them, all you had to do was cross multiply, a number 20.

On my last practice one, I got a 720 CR, 800W, 690M.
2210

If I get that on the real test I would be happy, especially the perfect writing, even if it doesn't count for much.

ahh two days left. any last tips?

none i got cept' im REALLY NERVOUS!! =(
