Need a nice major idea! (Engineering.. possibly?)

Alright, so, I'm kind of weird about the subjects and things I like, so I'd love some help with picking a possible major.

I'm girly and like clothes/makeup/nail polish etc., but I'm not really looking into a fashion career or whatever, I'd rather do something with math and/or science.

I like math and science, but I'm not sure what kind of career would be good for me. I'm creative and like drawing as well, but as far as I know art/math/science usually don't mix.

I'm also looking for it to be relatively high paying if I'll be taking challenging math and science classes.

I'm willing to compromise creativity if I need to also haha.

Question about engineering though:

As a girly person who likes mat and science, would I get along with anyone in the engineering field? Based on what I've read elsewhere the girls in engineering are kind of opposite of myself.

I hope this make sense and if I need to clarify please just ask. Thanks soo much!! :)

I am not even sure where to start with this.

The short answer is that female engineers students will be just like anybody else. Yes more might be less caught up in the social scene due to the engineering workload and are more likely to be serious students. However many will also fit the work hard party harder model.

As for creativity, look around you. Almost everything you see have to be design at least in part by an engineer. Look at the design of the things you use everyday. The Ipnones, Ipads, bridges, cars, planes, consumer products, etc. There is a creative outlet, you just need to choice the right path.

Sorry about the typos.

Take a look at a car for example. You could use your creativity to define the exterior shape and style. On the inside, you create the environment for the driver. How things look and feel. What sort of materials to use and what finishes to achieve a certain look.

Computer graphics (programming not the actual art itself) is an area where math, science, and art collide.

There are definitely girly girls in enigineering. In my engineering classes there are many that are not but there are also many that are girly and into clothes/makeup/fashion/hair/sorrorities and other “girly” things. Probably less than other majors (it also hurts that engineering has so much sausage) but there are a decent amount.

Plus, who says your good friends have to be in your major? I’m in engineering and most of my friends are in computer science, other engineering majors, or business.

I should add, there are feminine, beautiful girls in engineering. Not nearly enough though!!!

As long as you don’t act like an airhead…you’ll be fine in engineering.

I have only seen one person who would fit your description in all of my computer sciences courses.

Have you considered architecture?

Who says art can’t mix with math and science? marcdvl mentioned architecture, which is a field where all three meet very beautifully. Most types of engineering involve some form of aesthetics, and being artistically inclined is very beneficial in that regard.

Doesn’t architecture have the worst employment rate?
