Need ACT Tutoring recommendations

Hi, I am trying to increase my ACT score from a 29 to a 32 by December to receive the Presidential Scholarship at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. I have made a 29 on the ACT three times in a row. I will list below the sub-scores I made on each test:

October:
English- 35
Math- 25
Reading-32
Science-25

March (state test):
English- 34
Math- 27
Reading- 31
Science- 23

June:
English- 34
Math- 30
Reading- 28
Science- 24

My goal:
English- 35
Math- 31
Reading- 32
Science- 28
(This is what I need to get a 32 and I feel like I can achieve these sub-scores with help. These do not have to be the exact scores, as long as the scores add up to the number/4=31.5)

As you can see, I do not have an issue with the English section and do not feel as though I need a tutor for that. I was able to bring my score up from a 25 to a 30 in math by self-studying. I’d only need a little bit of tutoring to make sure I can achieve a 30 or higher on math again. My Reading went down drastically the last test because I had timing issues, but I feel as though I only need a little help with working on timing for that section. The section that concerns me most is Science. I am absolutely lost with it, and need major help to boost my score. Without boosting it, I will not be able to get my score where I need it, and miss out on earning scholarships.

If anyone can recommend what type of tutoring I should do, it would be greatly appreciated. Do you all think I should get a private tutor, or should I do an online course such as Prep scholar. Thank you!!!

*****Also I forgot to mention that I need a good writing score. I got a 28 in October on writing and a 26 in June. What do you all recommend to increase that score?

First of all, UA is not requiring the writing score, so don’t worry about that. There was a thread a while back recommending a few books to work with. I ordered every last one for my DD. She is so close to her target and really feels like the books have helped a ton. She is self studying this summer. She is taking at least 1 practice test a week, going over her mistakes, recording her corrections and then focusing on one extra area a week. She did not prepare for her first 2 tests(30 and 31), so we are hoping this does the trick. We did look into tutoring and felt it wasn’t the right fit for her. Good Luck.

which books did she find most helpful, especially for science? thanks for the reply!

She has been using The Real ACT(red book) with the ACT Prep Black Book. The others that she is using are The Ultimate Guide to Math ACT, The Complete Guide to ACT Reading and The Complete Guide to ACT English. I will ask her about Science. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much! I have the Real ACT as well, and the practice tests helped boost my math from a 25 to a 30! I’ll definitely have to look into the Black Book.
