Hi im thinking about majoring in accounting at baruch college. I want to then go to a t14 school for law and still be able to stay in nyc. If i get a 3.6+ gpa at baruch college will i be able to compete with admissions at columbia, nyu, fordam, cornell? I am afraid that baruch doesnt have much of a reputation as a good college. Do ivy law schools discriminate from what school your attend?"

Go to lawschoolnumbers, look up the schools you’re interested in, and click “graphs” on the top of the school’s page. That’ll give you a fair idea of what GPAs and LSATs are competitive at these schools. On the main page for the schools they have other helpful information.

Law schools do look at the schools that the applicants attended, but the first step is typically a ranking and sorting of the applications based on the school’s presonal method of calculating a score based on GPA and LSAT (some weigh GPA more than LSAT and vice versa).
