I am currently a sophomore in high school and I have not taken an AP classes before. This year, I’m taking
French III
Civics
Honors Chemistry
Honors Biology
English
Geometry
Algebra 2
Health/Gym
I only have around 1-2 hours of homework a day, sometimes less, and I have a 3.99 GPA. I consider this year to be pretty easy now that I’ve finally started to try hard in school this year and I’ve been reccomended by my teachers for the following classes:
Honors French IV
Honors English III
Honors PreCalculus
AP Physics
AP Chemistry
AP Statistics
AP United States History
I’m really good at math and I love chemistry, so I don’t think I’ll have trouble in the math and science areas, French was my first language and I wanted to get easy A’s in language class, so I just took French all my years at school. English is not hard either, but I’m not sure if my English teacher is very good or just grades easily. Overall, the only class I’m very concerned about is APUSH. At my high school, less than 30 people take it each year and it has a reputation of being very difficult, but then again, my math teacher was concerned about me taking two math classes sophomore year with two sciences, but it’s totally manageable. I just didn’t apply myself freshman year. What are your thoughts on my schedule? Any advice on how to manage next year and get all A’s? I forgot to mention that I run all year round so I get home around 4:30 PM during school, so will I have time to get good grades? The only class I’m sceptic about is APUSH, as it’s considered to involve a significant amount of note taking and reading, and the only reason I’m taking it is because I want to be a better writer and I want to adapt to working under stress. I want a challenging year that I can still get all A’s in but not be overwhelmed. Just give me advice for each class and I’ll decide if I should drop APUSH or not. Sorry if this seems rushed or if there are errors a lot things that are unclear, but I have to go run in a race. Please reply ASAP!
