Need advice, low GPA and terrible at math looking for advice on prospects

So essentially I didn't take college seriously when I was younger "24 now" and stuck with a terrible 2.6 GPA "Awful I know" with 14 credits left before I get an associates degree.

I want to have a decent job when I leave school and currently I am struggling with a serious anxiety disoder, but it's now or never. The problem is what can I do at this point?I am majoring in Liberal Arts but now I want to change my major to nursing, or nuclear technology. Unfortunately my math skills are awful, im talking barely being able to pass remedial math classes. I excel in history and also in public speaking classes, but this anxiety disorder has made even a public speaking career a nightmare.

It has been TWO YEARS since I have attended school and I am going back no matter what, I can't just sit around feeling sorry for myself anymore.

Can I still be a nurse or rad tech and be awful at math? Is there any hope here or am I doomed to making less than 50k a year for life?

If you really want to do this you can. Pay a visit to your CC and speak with one of the counselors about your new career goals. You may need to take a couple of remedial math classes in order to get up to speed, but if you do all of your homework and get extra help at your CCs tutoring center and from the instructor you will learn the material. Most people are better students as they get older because they are more committed to their studies and less afraid of asking for help when they need it.

Keep your eyes on the prize.

Math for nursing is generally limited to algebra but you must be very good at that (think getting medicine dosage correctly based on body weight). As happymom said, getting good tutoring is the way to go.
