Well this past May I got a job at the US Geological Survey as a physical science technician to last throughout high school (going into junior year) yet there has been some issues. For one the person I share my office with consistently uses profanity, my boss thinks I am a liar for "stealing pens" even though I never did and I just got a lecture from my boss for going to help to another employee and wasting his time, Im determined to hang on for the rest of the summer, but should i put myself through this heck for the good college E.C of research, or should I find something else to do for the following summer. Note that I am a very trustworthy person all my friends family and teachers recognize it and all I ever do is work hard. I tried to talk to my boss about it and he's like so deal with it, or I've known your office mate for years and he'd never say that etc so I'm in dire need of advice

wow its sucks to have a boss like that

if you enjoy the work itself, i think you should stay and just tune the boss out as best as you can
maybe you can talk to someone at work who is higher up and get them to help you with the problem?
but if you think you can easily find other employment you would like better then get the job first and then quit

it sounds pretty impressive to be working at the US Geological Survey (to me) but you shouldn't be killing yourself over a job

suck it up :-P

For a college application, a lot of the value of such a job would probably be the recommendation you could get from your boss.
