Need an advice!

Hello,

I am an international student from the Czech Republic. I will finish a community college in May. Currently I am deciding where to transfer.

These are the schools I have been accepted to (including projected cost after scholarship deduction)

St John's University : 12 000 usd a year (I was offered 17k scholarship)
Florida State: 20 000 usd a year
University of South Florida 17 000 usd a year
San Diego State: 18 000 a year
University of Pennsylvania LPS: still in the process of applying, will go only if I am given a scholarship

I know that St. Johns is a great deal for the money, however I really want to go somewhere where it is warm. I would sacrifice warm climate for a chance to study at Penn in no time, but when it comes to St. Johns...... i don't know

How much is St. Johns better than the other schools and do you think that a degree from there would improve my chances of getting a work visa after graduation?

In case that Penn does not offer me an aid, I an leaning toward San Diego State because I love California.

Thank you for any help.

Daniel

Congrats Daniel, looks like you have some great options.

I would advise you also post your thread on the Search & Selection forum here on CC. Your question is mostly about a comparison of the schools rather than the transfer process, and that forum gets many more views than this one so you are likely to get more replies.
