Need an advice with transfer!

Hello,

I am an international student from the Czech Republic. I will finish a community college in May. Currently I am deciding where to transfer.

These are the schools I have been accepted to (including projected cost after scholarship deduction)

St John's University : 12 000 usd a year (I was offered 17k scholarship)
Florida State: 20 000 usd a year
University of South Florida 17 000 usd a year
San Diego State: 18 000 a year
University of Pennsylvania LPS: still in the process of applying, will go only if I am given a scholarship

I know that St. Johns is a great deal for the money, however I really want to go somewhere where it is warm. I would sacrifice warm climate for a chance to study at Penn in no time, but when it comes to St. Johns...... i don't know

How much is St. Johns better than the other schools and do you think that a degree from there would improve my chances of getting a work visa after graduation?

In case that Penn does not offer me an aid, I an leaning toward San Diego State because I love California.
However, I heard that Florida State is much more recognized.

Thank you for any help.

What is your major?

Accounting/Finance … If I go to Penn I will change to Mathematical Economics since LPS does not offer business majors

“do you think that a degree from there would improve my chances of getting a work visa after graduation”

This is what concerns me.

I have never heard of anyone who was able to get a work visa with an undergraduate degree in anything other than engineering or computer science. And those are few and far between. Most people who get work visas have advanced degrees in the sciences. You need to plan to go home, or get a job elsewhere outside the US once your OPT ends. In which case, what matters is what the employers in your home country think. You need to have someone back home ask around. It may not matter at all which of these universities you end up choosing, or it may matter a lot.
