<p>aliastoo, I can TOTALLY relate to what you are saying. I’m wondering if your D will “get it”, even without you spelling it out. If your H insists on spelling it out, well so be it. That’s the beauty of having two parents. My D “lucked out” and is at her reach. She is learning her lesson a different way, and I’m crossing my fingers, and praying it turns out okay.</p>

I know it’s impossible to say she’ll get the merit $$ if she had better grades, but at least we could say D tried her best and didn’t happen. But in this situation, the if question is in the air. I think dd is learning the hard way, and as long as she takes it with a positive attitude, she’ll be fine.</p>
