Need aware international student

I was accepted at a college that has a need aware policy according to its website. But they haven't released the financial aid awards yet. I have requested a lot of financial aid. If the college is need aware does that mean that they think they can give me enough financial aid to attend?

It’s not related.
Need aware means that if you need a lot of financial aid, you’re at a disadvantage when it comes to admissions.
If they admit you, then you cleared the biggest hurddle! CONGRATULATIONS it’s VERY VERY HARD for internationals who need financial aid
:slight_smile: :slight_smile: :slight_smile:
Now, there are two possibilities:

  • your college is need aware AND promises to meet need: it means they’ll give you sufficient financial aid to attend.
  • your college is need aware AND does not promise to meet need: it means they may not give you enough financial aid.
    (If you tell us the college we should be able to clear that up fairly quickly)

@MYOS1634‌ It’s WPI.

I don’t think WPI guarantees full aid.

Your financial award should be up now. If not, email them and ask.

@MYOS1634 They said it would take 2 to 4 weeks. Are you sure it should be up now?
