Is Holy Cross still need blind? The admissions committee has no idea whether you need financial aid and do not consider that in the decision at all? Therefore saying "no" to do you need financial aid will provide you with no "benefit" at all?

My daughter has applied for regular decision. Did anyone else receive the verification form? How is this form used by the admissions committee?

Aca12, has your D had a chance to visit campus, participate in web-chat, interview? These are far more signifiant than the verification form.

Yes she did the info session, tour, interview, web chats. HC doesn’t have a supplement but that’s basically what this verification form is. It asks for Alumni relatives, how did you become interested in HC, what contact have you had.

We are still need-blind. What an applicant’s parents do for a living and if the applicant is asking for financial aid is not considered whatsoever by the Committee when making decisions.

Receipt of the Verification Form is not required for Regular Decision applicants, but we do prefer it. It shows us that the applicant is active in the admissions process, and it also gives the student a chance to express any contact with the College that may not appear under “official visits.”

Hi! Are you also Need Blind for International Applicants?

I just read in another post that you don´t offer Financial Aid to International Students, so I was wondering if you do offer Merit Scholarships?

We do not have any merit scholarships to offer beyond the few endowed scholarships for Classics and Music. Because of that and our inability to offer financial aid to international students, we do require a Certificate of Finance Form and Bank Letter from international applicants.

Ok thank you for making it clear.
