Need Blind

Is NYU admissions Need Blind?
If it isn't, would it be better not to apply for financial aid or just apply for it and show them I can pay?

i would defiantly just apply for financial aid. nyu is so expensive.

NYU is not need blind, and they are very clear about that. If you need the financial aid, apply, but if you dont, skip it. You will still be considered for merit scholarships.

actually, they say that they're need blind in admissions, but that they cannot commit to meeting all need of accepted students.

yeah, this article says it: NYU Alumni News

NYU is definitely need-blind, it's written everywhere.

The admissions office does not see your financial records, only the Financial Aid office does.

hmm... my bad, I had heard differently. I was wrong.
