Does anyone know if you NEED a Bachelors degree for med schools like HYPS? Harvard says they only need some classes, but I don't know.

Im guessing you probably do but if you just complete the pre-med requirements, you probably will have a really tough time in med school. Especially Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and Stanford.

Most schools are going to require either a BA or BS.

The only one I know that doesn't is Nebraska who allows application after 90 credit hours (so you still have to take well over just the bare essentials).

Why you wouldn't want to spend at least 4 years in college is beyond me. I wish I had spend 4.5 or five.

As BRM said, the vast majority of medical schools will require you to have a minimum of a BA or BS before they consider your application. A few will allow you to apply after completing the pre-med requirements (you could probably search on the forums, because it has been discussed in the past. I think it was sakky that posted which schools allowed applicants to apply without a degree), but those schools still highly recommend that you complete a degree. I would assume those that don't hold a degree would be put at a disadvantage.

As for Harvard:
[quote=http://hms.harvard.edu/admissions/default.asp?page=requirements]
At least three years of college work and a baccalaureate degree are required prior to matriculation in medical school.

What are some "good" medical schools that don't require BA?

Nebraska (#11 in the US News Primary care ranking) requires only 90 hours (three years) before applying.

I don't know why you would not want to stay in undergrad for as long as possible though...seriously, far and away the best 4-5 years of your life.
