Need help ASAP please - Doubling Essays -Is this okay?

On the Common App, it has a couple of prompts and a "topic of your choice."

Is it okay if I take my UC essay prompt (prompt: describe the world you come from and how it has an impact on your aspirations) and my UC essay and double it as my Common App essay? Or, should I just write another essay for the Common App according to one of its prompts?

Also, is there a word limit for it? My UC essay is about 650 words (a bit over a page). I only see a minimum amount of required words on the common app directions.
Thanks.

It should be fine.

Okay. Great. Thanks!

So, they won't be offended or anything if I use the exact same prompt and paste it on the top? Considering the common application only asks for one essay...

It's perfectly fine. If it would make you feel better, you could change the wording of the prompt so it would be more "your own".

Okay. Thanks!

go for it.

You'll be fine. Reuse the essay. If you want, edit the essay to double check if you have everything you want to say on it.
