Need Help Choosing A Major

Hello I am currently a Junior at a College Prep school and I am getting to the point where I really need to choose a major. I have always enjoyed science and would love to Major in something Science related, the only problem is from the most part that I have seen science degrees are either a big hit or nothing at all. I would love to do something such as Immunology, but the amount of time it would take to get such a degree would not be worth it for the salary that you would end up with.

I would like to get a job doing some sort of scientific research every day preferably within a lab. (Lab coat and all) I looked into Bio-medical Engineering and I am not sure if I would enjoy the Engineering side of that as much as I would the biological side of it.

The courses that I have taken already from my freshman year that would be relevant are as follows.

Freshman:
Pre-AP Geometry
Pre-AP Conceptual Physics (Algebra I Bassed)

Sophomore:
Pre-AP Algebra II
Pre-AP Chemistry

I am currently taking:
Engineering Fundamentals.
Pre-AP Pre Cal/Trig
Pre-AP Biology

I took the ACT the second semester of my Sophomore year and made a 24 Composite Score.
22 in English
24 in Math
26 in Reading
25 in Science
8 in the Writing

Please recommend some Majors that would follow Scientific Research and tell me what classes I should be tanking in High School to further achieve within them. Thank you for your time.

Why don’t you major in something biology related? Like Microbiology or Biochemistry? Don’t take my word for it, but I heard Bio Engineering is not a big field. I might have read some people talk about it on reddit.
