I am about to finish my junior year in high school and want to choose a major so I can decide what college to go to. I am in project lead the way at my school so I am very interested in engineering. My top choices are aerospace, aeronautical or something with architect. Which one should I decide on based on job opportunities in California and which is the highest paying career?

Do not chose based on highest paying career, really. You can’t really predict what will happen in ~5 years in the future. Also, if you don’t enjoy it, your job is going to feel like a drag everyday. What made you chose Aerospace/ Aeronautical or Architecture? Do you like applied mechanical physics?

In some colleges you can applied Undeclared Major to the school of Engineering. After freshman year you can decide what engineering major you want to choose.
