Hey guys so I'm going to applying to college this fall and needed some input on business majors. I was thinking about applying as a finance+entrepreneurship (double major) or international business (may include a co-major) major. Any thought or inputs on this? What would be a smarter approach?

A smarter approach would be to do some research on what side of business interests you the most. I started my college search thinking that all business majors would lead to a common endpoint: a corporate job with a solid paycheck and job security. That is definitely not the case, so start looking into what you want to do. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I personally chose to major in supply chain management because I got my feet wet with logistics while managing a business my last two years of high school. I thought it was just so interesting to see how that process has affected every single product in the world, while most people don’t give a second thought to how this bag of chips went from raw materials to the grocery store shelf. Also, it doesn’t hurt that it’s a growing field and that recruiters at my school last year had more job openings than we had graduates looking for jobs haha

I see myself as a banker, or a businessman working abroad and traveling to other countries and setting up business there. Not sure if that can happen in 5 years though. I love the aspect of traveling and learning about new cultures. It’s hard to decide because I’m interested in every field… but I’d like to know a little more about all the B majors colleges have to offer. Some of them seem to overlap, and I’d also like a job with security. I was thinking accounting or finance, but International sounds interesting too. It’s hard to decide between all of them!
And Supply Chain Management sounds actually interesting! What do SCM majors actually do?
