Need help deciding/changing my major from Computer Engineering

Okay, so I'm a current Computer Engineer (planned to minor in Business Management as well) but I went to the career fair at my school (RPI) and realized that most of the Computer Engineer jobs that were being offered there were for Software Engineering, which I do not really want to do for the rest of my life. I thought CpE was a mix of EE and CS, but if it'll mostly get my jobs where I have to program all day, I don't really think I want one.

I enjoy working in groups and I love computers or any new technology in general, especially external hard drives, Ipods, cell phones, etc.

I'm currently deciding between Electrical Engineering, staying in Comp Engineering, going for IT with a focus on Computer Hardware, or something else.

I'm still not completely sure what IT does, but my friends who are in it said it's the social side of Comp Sci, so if that includes working in groups or helping people then I think it would be a great option. However, I was wondering if a minor in IT helps much over a Business Management minor.

I'm not really good at Comp Sci 1, which is supposed to be an easy course, so I was considering just doing electrical engineering too, but I still don't know if that's a good idea either because I don't have a great understanding of what they do.

Also, I would like to work in a city of some sort like New York City, LA, maybe Boston, etc. I just don't want to sit in front of a computer writing code for the rest of my life, using HTML is fun but C++ is just not something I'd like to do for my whole life

Any inputs would be helpful, thanks!!

C++ isn’t the only language on this planet. I like it very much. I like Python but not an expert at all (which makes me angry and I think the language is too difficult for me ROFL). I hate this minimalistic prinicple - I WANT MY SEMICOLON !!!

A minor in IT doesn’t make any sense to me. A minor in BM is fine if you want to…

This is the evil side of CpE. You have to love both. If you like dealing with hardware, such as designing, rather than doing the computational side of EE, that’s fine. You can choose EE, and build up your own concentration.

I never believed in job fairs because the recruitment there aren’t really interesting to me (although I am only a sophomore). It could be because of the school…

There are many areas in the information world which you can dive into. If you like the hardware more than software, then switch to EE right away.
