Hello, i am a current undergraduate student majoring in computer engineering. I want to have a minor under my belt as well. I was thinking to do a minor in computer science with my major in computer engineering.

Help me with some feedback of both a computer science and a computer engineer.
What type of work do they do?
what kind of company's would hire me?
pay scale?
future job market for both computer engineer and computer science
Is it a good major and minor to have? Why or why not?

First, do you mind to direct us to your school’s Computer Engineering department website? We need this piece of information to determine whether a minor is worth it.

At some schools, CpE is more EE-biased.
It will help the discussion.

I’m a Computer Engineering undergrad. A minor is really a small focus, and only means so much anyways. Just do what you enjoy.

For computer engineering:

Design, development and testing for computer hardware.

Any computer hardware engineering company. Companies ranging from Computer chip design (like the well known Intel, AMD, etc.) to hardware design for other fields, like computer hardware in Satellites, or robotics.

Starting ~55k. median 90k.

Well…good :P

Any Engineering major is a good major.
