The title practically says it all. I need help deciding whether I should use a scientific calculator or a graphing calculator on tomorrow's SAT I test? I would just like your thoughts or your preferences even... Should I use a graphing calculator or should I use a scientific calculator?

Do you have both types? Some people suggest using a graphing calculator because in rare cases you CAN use it to help you on some problems. This only helps if you are really stuck, since all the problems can all be solved algebraically and using the graphing capabilities will make it more confusing.

Personally, I use a graphing calculator only because I am familiar with it. I can type much faster on my graphing calculator then I can on my scientific, also. I don’t think I have ever used it’s graphing capabilities on the SAT, practice or the real thing.

So yeah, either one works. Use the one you are familiar with!

I’m more familiar with my scientific calculator, I can type faster on it. So, to avoid confusion I’ll probably use my scientific calculator. Thank you for your help.
