Need Help Deciding Where to Go

Ok, so i don't know where i wanna go for college and what i wanna do. The colleges are starting to send their letters so i gotta start making some decisions. Heres my list:

Suny Buffalo: Accepted
Suny Albany: Accepted
Suny Binghamton: Accepted
Syracuse: Accepted
Northeastern: Accepted
Fordham: Accepted
Boston University: Waiting

What order would you put these in? Money is a bit of an issue. I could take out loans and be able to go to any of the colleges, but going into debt seems like a bad thing. Do you guys feel that going to a more expensive but better school is worth it?

Debt is never "better"! :) But if you really love it ... go for it! :D

Suny Buffalo: Accepted BU
Suny Albany: Accepted Suny Binghamton
Suny Binghamton: Accepted Northeastern
Syracuse: Accepted Fordham
Northeastern: Accepted The other three the same
Fordham: Accepted
Boston University: Waiting

oops, I meant to put in what order I believe they are:
BU, BINGHAMTON, NORTHEASTERN, FORDHAM, AND THE OTHER THREE ON PAR WITH ONE ANOTHER. ALL THE BEST, YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE SUCH CHOICES.

Choose the best college si if you could/
Believe you are what you think! Come on guy!

its late in the game here, but choosing a college involves more than simply ranking where you are accepted and enrolling in the "best" one. The key to picking the right college is fit. Factors include the size of the class and the type (lecture, seminar, etc), the advising you get, what kind of students it attracts, total number of students, the setting (urban, rural, suburban), whether it is a commuter school or residential, and of course how much it costs. These are some examples. You should make a list of what matters to YOU in college. Then write these down in a bunch of rows, and across the columns rate each school.

If you're just looking for someone to say "Dude, X is by far the best" and make your decision for you, you'll find someone on an anonymous board willing to do it. I suggest you ask yourself if that's the best way to pick a college.

I think it is worth it to take out loans if you feel strongly enough about your preference. Of the schools on your list, I would prefer Syracuse to all the rest by far. Great school spirit. Good academics in most areas. Nice campus. Top 50 school in US News. What exactly is the net difference in cost to you after financial aid between say SU and SUNY Buffalo? Is it worth it to you? I thinkSyracuse would be a much better experience for most students.

If you must go SUNY, I would choose Buffalo.

If you love being in big cities, I would choose Fordham or BU or Northeastern.

There are big cities, and there are BIG CITIES. That neighborhood that Fordham is in probably has more violent crimes in a 3-day weekend than Boston has in a month.

whatever decisions you make is whatever you have to face.

I am open for you all!

Yeah, the problem is i don't know what i wanna do. I dunno if i'd like living in the city cus i never have. Im going to check out most of the colleges over the week off. Anything you guys can tell me to think about for the specific colleges? Big points that might turn me on or off to the school? And also, why do people favor buffalo over binghamton? I thought binghamton was considered the top tier suny school.

People favor Buffalo because it's got a lot of stuff going on. Binghamton is known as being kind of cliquey and generally boring.
