<p>@ ucsbdreams: You actually may have an appeal case that’s worth your while. I feel like I’m often on here telling people about this, but it’s relatively unknown and very helpful.</p>
<p>I would recommend immediately applying for Academic Renewal if you can! I had 2 F’s (Yes, F’s) my first semester (Spring 2008) and I applied for/received Academic Renewal which eliminated the F’s from my GPA. I went from a 2.7 to a 3.7 in a year because of Academic Renewal. I’ve been accepted to UCSC, Davis, and UCSD, and I attribute my success in admissions directly to the 2nd chance AR provided for me.</p>
<p>Please at least look into it if you can. Each CCC has a different AR policy, but as long as you have had good grades (3.0+) in 12-20+ units since the bad grades, then you’re very likely eligible for AR, can eliminate the bad grades from your GPA, appeal, and get back into that dream school! </p>
