I’m currently a freshman, and I was wondering what is the big difference between
IT, Finance, and marketing (Bachelor)? Which is more secure? I am really interested in these 3, Also which of the 3 majors are companies interested specifically in intern.
Those three majors are very different. I suggest you take intro courses in each one (probably required as part of the business core curriculum) to see where your interests and aptitudes lie.
I suggest you make an appointment at career placement to discuss internship possibilities – opportunities can vary by college as well as by how well you are doing in college.
thanks for the fast response I will surely do that
Marketing has changed over the past decade. It is now driven by data analysis which often requires higher level math skills. Data analytics & data science are highly sought after skills in today’s job market.
Finance : Best to look over the finance course listings at your current school.
Am starting to question is I should major in finance or business/data analytics, seems like the trend is moving that way…
hello my school isUCF u can look at the course catalog on each 3
You should go through course catalogue to determine which classes/which major you find more interesting and which are more of a fit with your personal strengths. Nobody on CC has ever met you.
I mean I was thinking of going through finance or IT and later on switching down in a job related to marketing
