This is my first forum so I guess I’ll give it my best shot. I am a junior in Canada looking to apply to the Steinhart Music Business program next year and I would like to forward myself with my EC and passion for music but I am out of ideas and am seeking suggestions. I have done many media events with my local children’s hospital and was on their teen committee, I play the trumpet, participate in my school’s annual musicals, I captain the improv team, tech and film team and in my free time I run an update account with more than 50 thousand followers which allows me to work closely with labels and artists for possible promotions but is that something significant to talk about? I have thought about trying to contact a promoter for a possible additional internship but unfortunately live nation and ticket master has completely wiped out our local promoting scene but I am wanting to find more opportunities to prepare me for the industry / what I want to do in life, so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!
