Need HELP for APUSH!! URGENT

<p>Hi guys,
I am a new junior in Thayer Academy and I am Asian (spent 16 years outside the United States)</p>

<p>I am literally suffering from APUSH right now.
We are using Pearson's "American Destiny" as textbook. My teacher is good. He explains things and answers questions in class.
I am also using Amsco prep book and the Insider's Guide.</p>

<p>The problem is...
1. Even though I read the whole thing, I do not get the idea of what is going on for every significant event (I get much better after my teacher's explanation but still kinda confused)
2. I have some general knowledge errors and misunderstanding and I dont even know why and how it happens
3. I dont think I have the right study method and my productivity for APUSH is kinda low</p>

<p>Can anyone give me some advice on APUSH?? Do you guys have some good study methods? I think I am good at analyzing but the biggest problem is I dont get any clue of what exactly happened and I cannot organize and have a structure in mind to connect everything together.</p>

<p>Got a 5 on the APUSH exam last year, so I might be able to offer some help. I was never really one to intensely study, but I have some idea of what methods helped me to remember events…</p>

<p>You’ll need to be more specific though - what are you having trouble with?</p>

<p>I also got a 5 on my APUSH exam. I have a niche for history, but trust me there were tests I did not perform exceptionally well on all the time. In my class we used the American Pageant and I also loved the explanations in the Kaplan review book and I purchased one for my U.S. Government class this year.</p>

<p>This book is free this week- Dominate AP US history- it is on the ibookstore. You can get it even if you don’t have an ipad if you download the new os x maverick for apple computers.
