My daughter is a future nursing student (and has been accepted to a couple colleges already) and is struggling with the tests for AP Statistics. She feels like she ‘gets’ it in reviews and homework but then doesn’t know how to approach the questions for the tests (not the AP test but the class tests). Where is the best place to find a tutor?
I called our local college and found an upperclass student who was willing to tutor. My daughter needed help in chem so I called the chem dept. The dept admin immediately came up with a student who she thought would be helpful and passed along my number. Since they were just a few years apart, my daughter was comfortable asking lots of questions. They met on campus so bonus on getting some exposure to that.
If there is a college nearby, you might want to try there.
Have you exhausted the help at school?
@2stemgirls thank you that is a good suggestion - @Sybylla yes the only help at school seems to be her peers (other seniors) taking the class
