I am considering duke, gtown, nyu stern, and mich ross. As you can see i am interested in the business field. Is duke economics a good precursor to business, and if so should I choose Duke over the other schools? Also does it offer internship opportunities in the business field?

P.S. I like the Duke campus the most.

Duke's econ is a very good precursor to the business world, as is our public policy major. Our econ majors are heavily recruited by investment banks, consulting firms, etc. A great number of our students will go into the business world, as opportunities are in no way lacking.

And yes, internships are plentiful. Employers will come to campus to recruit us for internships, and the process is very straightforward, though a bit intense. Econ majors who don't have internships are a rarity, so much so that classes during your senior year will open up with, "Let's have everybody tell their name, their hometown, and their internship this summer."

What do you mean the process is "a bit intense."

Just that kids tend to stress out. It's often their first time going through interviews of this sort.
