Re #72, point five - We discussed this on the alumni listserv and someone pointed out that Wesleyan had a very successful capital campaign in 1986; it paid for the library addition and some endowed professorships. Still, that was twenty years after the sale of “My Weekly Reader” and it would be another twenty years before there was another one.
