Need Help On High School Issue

I attend school at a Texas Charter School. Before I go any further, what are your assumptions that first come to mind when you hear of a "Charter" school? My school is still primitive and they don't offer challenging classes like AP or Honors courses. This past summer, I decided to take Dual Credit courses, that way I could boost my GPA. But I found out the next school year that my school is only counting the courses I completed as a Pass or Fail on my transcript. Is that dumb to you at all? I mean, my counselor didn't inform me on this at all and I can't repeat the course at High School level at my school now. So now I've been trying to research every way possible to see if I could appeal this. Does anyone have any tips?

Also, I've brought this to my curriculum directors attention as well. I told them that under TEA's website ( our state's education agency ) that dual credit computing into student's GPA is totally upon the school. My school is relatively small with close to around 700 students from PreK-12th grade. I have 37 students in my graduating class. I'm also the only student who is taking Dual Credit classes so it won't affect anyone but me. Is anyone having similar issues or know how I can deal with this matter?

Thanks..

I don’t know what a charter school is, so no opinion.

I’m sure it was explained to your parents, but they failed to tell you the particulars. Can you take the class at a local community college for a grade? Sux being the first to do anything at a tiny school-you’re the guinea pig and have to trial blaze with a dull machete. Good Luck.

Do you think my professors will give me a grade based on what I made during the summer? I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t want to go through their archived courses to search for grades. Any other inputs??
