Need Help Planning Admit Day Schedule!

I’m a little confused about the Admit Day schedule as there are a lot of things that overlap and what not. So, I have a couple questions:

Will you be checked for ID to confirm that you ARE supposed to be at Admit Day?

I’m doing electrical engineering, so does that mean I HAVE to stay with that group and go to all of the events in the schedule, or can I mix and match with the general schedule for Admit Day?

Is there a check-in time or can you come in whenever you want (like is there an orientation/opening event for Admit Day that you have to attend or anything?)?

The Campus Tours say “10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.” and the website says that tours are 90 minutes long. However, what time do they START??

I want to spend equal amounts of time with Muir college AND the Jacobs tour. However, I don’t know how long some of the events are, so that’s making it quite difficult to decide which events I want to attend (because I don’t know if I’ll have enough time left or not). Can someone PLEASE tell me how long these events are:

Welcome Sessions

Muir Information Sessions
Meet John Muir College staff and students in this overview session aimed to better acquaint you with your college. Learn about the college philosophy, academic programs, and student leadership opportunities.

Residential and Muir College Tour

Walking tour to the “La Jolla Cliffs”

ECE Group escorted from Price Center Ballroom to Price Center Theater for faculty and student Q&A session and light refreshments
No trip to John Muir College would be complete without a trip to the La Jolla Cliffs. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes!

This is ideally what I’d like to do, but can someone tell me what time each event ends (Because I don’t know what time each event ends, I don’t know which time slot I should choose for the following event):

Welcome Sessions--------------------------8:00 a.m. to ???
Muir Information Sessions-------------------8:45 a.m. to ???
Residential and Muir College Tour------------9:30 a.m. to ??? [longer than 30 minutes? Should I put the walking tour to the cliffs at a later time?]
Walking tour to the “La Jolla Cliffs”-----------10:00 a.m. to ???
Jacobs School Welcome & Overview---------12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m.
ECE faculty and student Q&A session--------12:45 p.m. to ???
Campus Tours -----------------------------2:00 to ???

Any help is MUCH appreciated!

For clarification, this is my planned schedule:

http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/djAZUL/UCSDAdmitDay.jpg

My question is, will I be able to do this? The main problem lies in how long the Muir Information Session is. If it is too long, then I might miss the 9:30 a.m. Residential and Muir College Tour. And if that tour is too long, then I might miss the 10:00 a.m. walking tour to the La Jolla Cliffs.

I'm sorry I'm no help but I have the exact same question as you - Muir/BioE

It's a bit far for me to go to SD and get there by 8AM, so my family and I were planning on leaving at 8 and getting there by 10 to join the Engineering department. But I also want to take a tour of Muir and the surrounding area, not just get stuck with bioE group and stufff....

Can students mix/match time to fit our own needs? Although i want to look around Muir, I'm not sure if I'll be attending UCSD so Ierno...

And also, what of parking, is it going to be free? Where are we going to park.

i think itz free on the weekendz

parking is free...

you could get there whenever you want, go where ever you want, and bring who ever you want...

you could do whatever the hell you want that day...so stop worrying

on the admit day RSVP website they have a special section about parking where they give you directions based on what college you're in! and also i think it's a parking pass

yes, your college will give you a parking pass which will alow you to park in designated areas.
