Need help with balancing, anxiety, & APUSH?

Hi everyone,

I am about dying right now. Luckily, we are on a weeklong Thanksgiving break where I will be able to catch up on work and sleep.

Here’s the deal: I’ve been averaging ~3 hours of sleep the past week and haven’t been eating lunch the past two weeks, though it may have been because I had three AP unit tests this week. I got my test score back from AP Biology and got an 87% on the test, which I am not happy about considering my test average in the class is ~96%.

I also am majorly worried about AP US History. I have a 94% in the class, but I’ve gotten C+'s on two tests (out of four) and 80% on every FRE/DBQ I have done so far.

I honestly just need suggestions now. I have never struggled this much before (and it’s not much at the moment), but I struggling with finding a balance. I’ll lay out my ECs and courses.

Courses: AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP US History, Honors English II, Wind Symphony (band), Honors Pre-Calculus
ECs (hrs/week): Orchestra (2), volunteering (1), debate (5); others that are coming up/not countable: Science fair, Coding club (founded), club volleyball, Spanish course outside of school for credit

Any suggestions on balancing? I need to get enough sleep or else I’ll fall asleep during tests, which happened during my last APUSH test (didn’t even finish but my teacher was kind enough to give me extra time to finish). I also need help in APUSH? What’s the most productive way to study for this and what resources should I get?

I have been an A+ student my entire life and currently have a 97% in AP bio and a 99% in AP chem, but APUSH seems to be difficult for me and I really do need help.

Also, does anyone have tips on managing anxiety? I seem to be developing it and am getting more and more emotionally unstable (subject to crying a lot) because of the amount of things I have taken on.

I am a sophomore, for perspective.

Thank you all so much.

You may have to cut down on extracurriculars. Also, maintaining a healthy diet is key so do not skip meals. Your body needs food to keep running. I would also consider doing some sort of physical activity, such as shooting hoops or going for a run, to help relieve stress.
