H Math Analysis ( counts as an ap, its trig and precalc and you go straight to ap calc b.c after this) most people are either taking algebra 2 or geometry in 10th grade so im ahead ;]

Ap psych, ap enviro or ap geo?? This is my main problem, if i do envrio or geo i can take psych in community college, but it counts as half an ap, but its so much easier. Ap enviro is very easy as well as ap geography, but i am not that interested in those subjects. Thanks

This is a SOPHOMORE schedule? I wish my school offered that many ap classes for sophomores! The only ap class for us is World History, and I’m in that, but jeez.
Anyhow,
I’m in a similar math boat is you, kind of. I’m a sophomore now and taking H trig/pre calc, so I’ll be in Calc 1 next year and Calc 2 following year, both AP. Hm, I’ld take AP Geo I thinka nd take AP Psych at the community college if you want to do that sort of thing.

That seems like a good schedule.

My school doesn’t offer any AP’s for freshman/sophomore, nor do they accept outside credit (it’s a private school).

I’m taking the hardest course load available, and it’s only H English II, H World History, H Chemistry, H Algebra II, Spanish II, Acting, Filmmaking, World Religions, and tennis.

I think that maybe you should plan out your AP schedule, like what AP’s you’d like to take, and plan when you’d take them so you don’t burn yourself out. Also think about what EC’s you’ll be doing- would you even have enough time to take CC classes?

in community college all classes are EXTREMELY EASY im taking some already and i have never done anything outside of class but still have a A+ in all of the ones i have taken. im planning to take 13 ap’s btw :]

Oh that’s good (that they’re easy).

I used to plan that I’d take 18-20 AP’s, but I decided that I’m going to try for an acting career (and write a book and become fluent in Japanese and Korean)… and my interest take priority then a bunch of AP’s, which probably won’t help anyways b/c the college I’m interested in don’t accept the credit (some international universities in Japan and Korea).

Good luck!

18-20 ap’s?! thats just crazy D;

lucky… you get to take AP’s as a sophomore…

are you korean?

Take AP Psychology, since you said yourself that you’re not interested in the other two. No need to force yourself to take things in community college if you’re not going to like what you do during the school year anyway.

Oh, and how does Math Analysis count as an AP. Is there an AP exam that equates to Trig/Pre-Calc?

BTW, I wish I could take more APs as a sophomore. I’m one now, and I’m only doing AP Euro.

o0o0, Euro and Bio. Haha have fun.

my school only lets you take 2 ap’s as a sophomore but for some reason my counselor just loves me and i convinced the vice principal as well :]

H Math Analysis does not have an ap exam, but at our school it basically teaches the same thing as Ap Calc AB with trig, but it is weighted as an ap class

But it is a completely different story if you are taking Math Analysis instead of H Math Analysis

and im pretty sure ap geography and ap environmental science give no h.w If i decide to take one of those i can do psych (1 semester on weekends for 3 hours) at a community college which roughly counts as half an ap. Also we have a horrible ap psych teacher so i am still pretty confused =P

Yup, I am =) Adopted to a Jewish family in America. So if you thought I considered it b/c Koreans are super into school grades and stuff, it’s not because of that… I didn’t grow up in that type of environment. All of the AP’s just interested me, and if I wanted to learn the stuff anyways, I thought I should take a test just to show that I knew it… if that makes any sense ^.^

Ugh. You guys are lucky your counselor/schools are so willing to let you guys take APs. Our school, I think, actually tries to keep anyone from taking them lol. They succeed completely for anyone in their frosh or soph year. sigggggghhhhhhhhhh

no i didnt ask because of that…

most native koreans grow up with anti-japanese sentiments. i asked because i was wondering why a korean would want to immerse her/his-self in japanese culture.

not that i have anything against the japanese, but it is a bit odd lol

korea and japan have been rivals for centuries.

Koreans have anti japanese sentiments? That’s interesting, I know many korean singers who go to japan to promote their music. o.O

Really? That sounds interesting!

I’m sure that there are probably bitter feelings from back when Japan took over Korea… but I’m not sure if it’s the same way with the new generation. I know lots of Koreans are interested in Japanese culture, and Korean music is well liked in Japan (and all over the world).

the new generation is a little more lax, but the feelings remain

interesting. thanks for the info!

@elau,

It’s because they’ve got fans there who love their music.
and maybe some $$$
