Need help with NY logistics.....

So I think you should do some price checking before assuming you need that limo to LGA. Again, keep in mind you are dealing with 2 airports located 12 miles apart from one another on a single stretch of highway. I'm sure that it is routine for the rental agencies to transfer vehicles from one airport lot to another.<<

To JFK I think it is $45 plus toll and tip, and to LGA $55 plus tolls and tips. From the airport to the city it is a SET rate that the cabs can't deviate from.

The OP plans to rent a car and will not be staying in the city; she has made that clear. Her concern is that she is flying into JFK & out of LGA and she thought she would need to pick up the rental car from the same airport where she drops it off -- so she wanted to take a limo to LGA from JFK. I think the only issue at this point is whether or not that plan makes sense vs. arranging a rental at one airport & drop off at the other.

I know it seems really strange, but I have made at least two trips to NY over the years, maybe more, involving car rentals from JFK or LGA and driving around to many interesting places without ever entering Manhattan. Amazingly enough, there are things to do and places to see that do not involve the Big Apple. ;)

IMO the least amount of hassle for the OP is to pay the extra fee to get the rental at JFK and return it to LGA. It usually isn't that much to return a rental to another nearby airport.
