Need help with schedule

I'll be a freshman in the fall and I'm a prospective geology, marine science, or integrative biology major.

Is this a good schedule and which ones should I Phase I?

Chem 1A
Math 1A
EPS C82
English R1A

I took AP Calc AB and got a 4. (I didn't take BC, but might take Calc II at a community college over the summer). I took AP Bio and got a 5. I didn't take AP Chem or AP Lit/Lang. I did well in honors chem but don't remember much and I've always done really well in my English classes.

take math 16a.

What if I do Calc II at a community college? Also, Math 16A won’t fulfill geology requirement.

And Math 1A won’t fulfill biology requirement. So now what?

math 1a would fulfill any math requirement.

what do you plan on doing after with ur major?

So should I do math 1A or do you think it will be too hard for me?

I want to go to grad school. I’m hoping to go to Scripps Institute of Oceanography and do geosciences, oceanography, or marine biology.

Also, should I Phase I the English and Intro to Oceans since Math and Chem have a ton of spots?

Sorry, one more question… is 14 units a good amount?

14 is ok amount. it’s good… Chem has limited lab spots…so i think you should phase I that… however i even got in the 2nd week. this past fall. english fills up really quick… might be full already. oceans. im not sure.

So if I take calc II in the summer and do well, would I do Math 1B in the fall? Does math fill up fast?

you might be done with math… i dont know how geology dept factors in ap scores and cc courses.

oh. cool. i think i’ll do that then.
thanks for your help!

abbccc - math 1a is a superset of 16a, so where a biology department specifies 16a, you consider 1a as a fully qualified substitute. Basically, 1a = 16a + more theory and more depth. Same topics, e.g differentiation and limits, but proofs and other details added into 1a.

So let’s say that I do calc II over the summer and am done with math… what class should I take?
Physics 7A, Physics 8A, or EPS 50 (Planet Earth)
Which of those physics classes will cover me for biology and geology since I’m still undecided?

Nevermind.
It looks like 8A is the easier one, but I need 7A for geology… 8A for bio or marine science.
