need help with this blue book math problem

<p>page 858 #13. this is really confusing and very time consuming. i spent 5 min on this problem and didnt even find the answer. it gives these blocks and asks which is a possible way to arrange them. if someone could please explain how to approach this problem, id greatly appreciate it. thanks.</p>

<p>its #2 only. Its really easy.</p>

<p>just look at the shape(cross) and try to fit it into each of the samples. Outline it, and check if you can fit the others in. #2 is the only choice that works</p>
