Need Help!

Been rejected everywhere and Berkeley is my last shot (although a very high reach)

My essays wrote about my physical disability and coping with the news that I may need hip replacement surgery in the near future. I also wrote about the host of other problems my condition has given me throughout my life and how it affected my grades sophomore year. My second essay was about my experience leading a group of interns to make an innovation at Sony Electronics. Both were well written according to many college essay readers I had shown them to.

My UC GPA is a 3.83 with a 1980 SAT and a 770 Math II.

The reason I still have a flicker of hope with my sub par stats is that in early January I received a supplemental form asking for more information about my condition and also a letter of reccomemdation. I promptly turned in the questions as well as had a letter of rec written by a favorite teacher

Do I have even a slight chance? Its either Berkeley or community college. Oh and i applied for EE/CE. A little too ambitious? Maybe ;)

Lots of students do well at community college and transfer to Berkeley as juniors, so that is not an exclusive “or”.

Chances do depend on what division or major you apply for (either as a freshman or transfer). This is true of most other UCs and CSUs as well.

Yea i guess. Thanks anyways

My D got the talent supplemental. They only send out about 3,000 total supplementals, for talent, borderline and disability, so I would say that YES! you do have a chance. :)
