Hi all,

I am a 2006 college graduate w/ a B.S. in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. I began my undergrad career w/ the intention of becoming an arch or mech engineer, as I've always been very passionate about the idea and creation of 2D & 3D art (i.e.: gen art, photography, architecture, interior design, mechanical design, etc). However, enginer'n became too stale as it seemed the design aspect was outweighed by the math/physics, so I switched to CADD my 2nd yr. Now I'm greatful that I followed my heart and went after my true passion instead of the prestige & money of engin., but it seems its taking so long to get to where I want to be -- designing. My Goal: designing the exterior and interiors of hospitality and residential structures.

I am currently in the process of researching grad prog's for both M.Arch and M.Interior Design and was wanting to know if I could get some advice on various schools offering either prog, as well as what to expect in general for either a M.A or MID prog....I do take rankings in to consideration, but @ the same time I'm one of those "Money talks, b/s walks critics"...

Also I have continously searched many job boards from aia to priv. site via Google since apr'07 and it seems that most firms are always wanting recent grads w/ arch degrees. Does anyone know any firms in eastern US that are willing to give exp to those w/ little to no formal arch desgn exp.?

Thanks in Advance
