So in light of the SAT coming up in a week, I decided to take the full-on SAT practice test from the CB website (and what a hellish nightmare that was).

To my dismay I did much worse than I thought I would. I have been prepping a little bit at a time for the past few months, doing a few sections every week. I was confident that I was prepared to get a 2000+.

I ended up getting an 1890 (610CR, 640M, 660W).

Math was surprisingly easy, I just breezed through it and got the score I was expecting (I always get around 650).

However, I was blown away by Critical Reading and Writing. I was expecting to get 700+ on both.

For Critical Reading my main problem was the fact that the passages were so boring I just couldn't comprehend them. Usually I do good on some passages and bad on others, completely depends on the passage.

On Writing I always just suck correcting grammar, which is odd because I like to think that I have superb grammar.

tl;dr: What can I do to do better in Critical Reading and Writing (guides, tips, etc).
