Need legging help

Those leggings look nice. I’d order myself except I know from experience last year that for running I need a drawstring to keep them up (especially if pocket has phone or water flask) It is probably because I size up a bit to avoid super tight fit.

I ran errands today in my salutation leggings and lavender sweater, paired with silver sneakers. I felt so comfortable, put together and actually fashionable! I had to go to DSW and they had a dark of light plum leggings, matches the salutation jacket. They are compression, look pretty good and guess what? No CT. Now if a $30 pair of DSW leggings can make them like that, why in the heck can’t Athleta at their prices.

This just confirms that due to the individuality of our bodies, clothing pieces will work differently for different folks.

(I just read a long, very educational email from HerRoom about panty gussets… guess our female pelvises come in several major types, but the panty makers tailor everything to the most common one, leaving the others with wedgies and uncomfortable undies. )

@conmama, they may be good now….but how about after several times in the washer or after using for exercise or………I mean they might be great! Depending on use as well. Like I said, I buy the Athleta ones for longevity and to withstand sweating, washing, lots of fitness, etc.

If you are just wearing them for light use it might be totally different!

True. My use is purely for running errands.

I plan to use my leggings for errands and light use as well—I prefer exercising in shorts. So far, I’m very happy with my Skechers leggings from Costco @$18.99 and currently with $4 discount coupon.

These have a drawstring. I may go for a pair of them myself.

I just bought something along those lines (straight leg pants) from Jockey Outlet. I bought them for walking but when I tried them on again at home, I realized I can wear them out to activities such as choir rehearsal or volunteer activities in place of jeans without feeling like I’m in sweats. They will also replace my yoga pants which really aren’t flattering at all! Added plus - these have a pocket where I can keep my phone when out walking. I got them in both navy and black.

Last year at JC Penne I bought a pair of Xersion atheletic leggings (I think 7/8 length, but I’m short). The key was that I could try them on in a store. The are soft and shiny. LOVE the side pocket for cellphone and wore them a lot on a cross country road trip - usually with sneakers, but with loafers at the hotels.

They sold Lularoe at Walgreens? I thought they were only home party sales.

I wasn’t clear. I bought Lularoe-like leggings at Walgreens, not actual Lularoe. But I got rid of all of them, since I didn’t want anyone to think I supported Lularoe.
