So, im at a point in my life when i need to decide. (sorry if this isnt the right forum, i believe it is) Also, for further info, im american (born there, and have a residence)

I live in Monterrey, Mexico, and im currently attending Tecnologico de Monterrey, ranked as the best latin-american college, as a chemical engineer. Thing is, my friend just invited me over to study at ACC (Austin comm college) with him for a year, then we can move up into UTa or TexasA&M, depending on what we chose, or maybe ever some better college.

Im worried about leaving town, i mean, i love it here. But i always pictured myself enjoying some crazy american college experience, and actually becoming a successful engineer (which i dont know if i can be that, a good engineer, if i graduate from TEC school, i mean, is it even recognized in USA?)

So heres my question, if i chose to stay here at Monterrey, can i later on transfer over to UT/A&M? How do they treat Mexican colleges over there? Will i be able to transfer credits?

In short, what increases my chances of being a successful engineer, and my chances of graduating in USA. (Plan B is graduate here, study a masters in UT/A&M)

---- Off topic question: In a job interview, does the Bachelor degree really matter? Or do they just look at your masters?
