I have been using this site to see which CCCs will best prepare me for Berkeley and potentially UCLA if UCB falls through.

If I am understanding the site correctly, then I have made an excel doc on which classes are offered and which ones are missing per CCC. Can someone reassure that I am understanding the website properly?

Would it be safe to assume that Laney is the best choice? (based purely on offered classes)

I would appreciate your input and also if you can double check my work. Thank you.

Based on your spreadsheet, if you are a CS major Laney would be good since it lets you take 61a/b and 42. If you’re EECS, 42 does you no good, so taking b/c instead of a/b is just as good (DVC). This is from a prereq perspective since I don’t know which college actually has the better courses - you may want to check that out as well.

Note that Laney and Diablo Valley are not that far away from each other, so if you live near one, you may be able to commute one semester to the other for CS 61A or 61C.

You may also want to check each college’s schedules to see how often each course is offered.

I am considering the Laney/DVC approach. They offer the most plus cover UCLA really well pending I don’t get into Cal. If I sit myself in between the two colleges, it will be a 15 minute commute to either location.
