Need some help with my college course selection (AP Credits/Transferring/etc)...

I'm a high school senior and I'm currently taking 3 APs (Stats, Bio, Psychology).
I took the Stats test and did POORLY on it. Bio is really overwhelming for me but I'm getting my act together and doing some reviewing for it and Psych ( I feel I can easily get a 3 or a 4 in Psychology, most likely a 4).

I'm going to a local community college. The CC accepts for almost all APs, a 3 to recieve credit.

My question is...
Lets say I get a 3 in STATS and I get credit for Math 202. When I transfer out to a 4 year school (Bucknell, IUP, Shippensburg, Penn State, U of Pitt, Temple, etc other schools in PA) do they look at my AP Score or my Credit? If they look at my AP score and their requirement is lets say Bucknell requires a 5 in AP Stats and I have a 3 (they won't accept it) will they still accept it because my CC gave me credit for the class? Or will I have to take the class for which I previously recieved credit AGAIN at the 4 year school at a MUCH HIGHER cost...?

Do you guys recommend just taking the classes at CC and not even worrying about the AP Exams?

Colleges only care about your AP score. They do not care what other colleges think of your score.

So why is it that some colleges require 4s (bucknell, penn state, pitt) where as WAY better schools such as Hopkins only requires a 3 in AP Bio?

I feel the standards are just set WAY TOO HIGH and I can’t meet the demands…I was talking with my AP Bio teacher (she’s a biologist with YEARS of lab work with PSU) and she also says the same thing.

I disagree. I don’t think any college should accept less than a 4.

standards aren’t set high at all.

“So why is it that some colleges require 4s (bucknell, penn state, pitt) where as WAY better schools such as Hopkins only requires a 3 in AP Bio?”

Because they can.

Each institution sets its own policy as to which AP exams to accept for placement and/or credit, and which scores are necessary for that placement and/or credit.
