So im getting out of the Army in Nov. and im going to be using my Post 9/11 Gi bill to go to college. right now im taking online courses with TA but im going to be transferring to a local college. i having a hard time figuring out what i should do as far as should i go to a bigger college or should i start at a community college, as well as what Information systems degree path should i be looking at to go for? im stationed up in JBLM, WA any advice anyone can bring would be very helpful thank you.

Welcome to CC!

Community College has the advantages of being less expensive and easier admissions. However, if you have good grades from your recent courses, you might want to consider a larger college which will have more lab facilities, better professors, internships, and career services. Did you want to stay in the Northwest? Are you happy to relocate? How many years since high school, and do you have a solid H.S. transcript?

Hey, If you don’t want to go to a CC, you can find a small liberal arts college that is yellow ribbon friendly and use your post 9/11 Gi bill, take over 30 credits and get good grades and then transfer or stay. I found a school in Ohio, went to Arkansas and now I am at Baylor. Let me know if you need any help with your essays. I am a Veteran too.
