Two years ago I took a foreign language class at a CSU. I was in high school at this time and passed both semesters with a B. Now that I am at a community college and hopefully going to apply for UC fall 2011. I was wondering if I could use these credits to apply to UC so I wouldnt have to take as many classes during summer session. Does anyone know if its possible to use credits I earned at a csu to apply as a UC transfer?

You would have to turn your CSU transcript to the CCC for evaluation. I recommend doing that ASAP because it takes at least 6 months for evaluation, if they see that they are comparable with their language courses, then you would be waived for it!

^ I agree with Yunie (just in case you need more than one person’s opinion).

I took French at CSULB and it counted for my UC (I was accepted to UCSB last year) I wouldn’t even worry about turning it in to your JC. Depending on your UC and CSU you can look it up on assist. OR you can use assist to compare the class that you took at your CSU to classes offered at your JC. I hope that made sense lol. But I didn’t worry about having my CSU classes evaluated I just sent my transcripts in and everything was fine.
