I was just wondering whats the worst GPA somebody has transferred with into Davis from a CC? And to what major?
Also if Davis were to reject a person could they appeal with spring grades?

My sister was accepted into the East Asian Studies major with a 2.8 GPA, which isn’t an impacted major at all. She TAG’d in 2011 and got accepted, but then her application got rescinded because she ended up getting a D in a required transferable math course. When she applied again last year (this time with around a 3.0 GPA), she got in for Fall 2012…turns out UCD had kept all her information from when she applied the year before.

Because of the popularity of TAG at Davis, it’s probably extremely rare for anyone under 3.0 to get accepted w/o tag. Some of the more popular majors have a higher TAG requirement (3.2 econ/managerial econ) (3.3 engineering I think). Just get a 3.0 and TAG (or 3.2, 3.3 etc. depending on major).

@ emprex: The new TAG GPA requirement is 3.2. It first went into effect for Fall 2012 applicants, so now if any transfers want to apply to UCD, they must have a 3.2 GPA.
